AI assistant and actions
How the AI assistant is metered in monthly actions, what counts as one, and where your data goes.
Formbear’s AI assistant helps you build forms, refine questions, and understand responses. Every plan can use it, metered in actions: 5 per workspace per month on Free, 100 on Pro.
What counts as an action
- Generating a form with AI form generation, or a request in the editor’s assistant chat
- A summary digest in AI response analysis
- Improving a question’s wording
- A batch of suggested questions
Each of these costs one action, however many results it returns. Viewing something the assistant already generated is free: you only spend an action to produce something new, or to refresh a result after new responses have come in.
Improve and suggest questions
Select a question in the editor and choose Improve with AI: the assistant chat opens with a clearer, more neutral rewrite as a suggested change, with a one-line rationale; apply it or dismiss it there. Near the add-block control, Suggest questions asks the same chat for two to four questions that land as suggested changes you review before they join the form.
Usage
Track how many actions you have used on the workspace billing page.
Data handling
AI features work from server-side aggregates and a bounded sample of your responses, never your entire response set. When a workspace member uses an AI feature, that data (plus your prompt) is processed in the EU by Mistral AI, headquartered in France; it is used only to answer the request and is never used to train AI models.
